Director of sales, Usa

Location: Central US
Strong sales and leadership skills within Industrial Distribution are required for the search we’re conducting on behalf of our client, a well-established and highly respected industrial distributor. They are seeking a Director of Sales, USA.
The successful candidate will also preferably reside in the central part of the United States, have the ability to travel, and possess a strong desire to develop and grow high-performing sales professionals.
This role is a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team.
Primary responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of sales team operations from CRM proficiencies to bottom-line sales goals

Ensure all key accounts and markets are being actively pursued and served through sales and marketing efforts

Oversee budget, forecasting and identification of new opportunities to meet company’s goals and objectives

Develop and implement strategic planning initiatives for growth

Hire and ensure effective onboarding and training of all new sales staff

Lead ongoing evaluations and process improvements to attract and maintain a high-performing team
Qualifications to include:
-
Demonstrated success in sales management within a distribution (B2B) environment

Advanced sales skills that include knowledge of contracts, negotiation strategies and integration of products from acquisitions to the sales portfolio

Proven background of successful collaboration; ability to successfully communicate with other departments and leadership throughout the company

Must have history of managing a technical product sales team with solutions-based approach

Minimum 5 years direct leadership experience

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in applicable area of concentration (business, marketing, engineering); Industrial Distribution degree would be ideal but not required
